Boy Scouts

On February 8, 1910, William D. Boyce and a group of outstanding leaders founded the Boy Scouts of America. From that day forth, Scouts have celebrated February 8 as the birthday of Scouting in the United States. As we approach the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouts in the United States, museum volunteers are preparing a display to honor the history of Boy Scouts in Excelsior Springs.
