MYERS posted by Brian McHale on Saturday, March 18, 2006

I am looking for any information on Ken MYERS Chevrolet of Excelsior Springs, MO. I have a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette that was purchased new from this dealership. I am interested in obtaining a copy of a window sticker from this dealership. I am also interested in anything related to Ken MYERS Chevrolet, example advertisements, dealer give aways, license plate frame, anything. I believe Ken has passed away but would be interested in speaking with a family member of employee from the 1967 time frame. Any info that you can provide would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance Brian McHale

ELLIOTT, GATEWOOD, GENTRY, LEWIS posted by Virginia Gentry on Saturday, April 29, 2006

I am trying to find out about my husbands Great Aunt. Her name was Glennie GENTRY. She was the daughter of Manson and Margaret Strock GENTRY. All I really know is that when he was small they would go through Excelsior Springs and see her. Apparently she was in some type of a home. I am not sure if it was a nursing type home or a group type home. She never married and was considered "silly". I have professional pictures of her as a young woman, but no address where they were taken. She had several brothers and sisters. Earl GENTRY, Madolyn GENTRY GATEWOOD, Ethel GENTRY ELLIOTT, Charlotte Gladys GENTRY LEWIS, David Sailor GENTRY. They all lived in the Kansas City area for a time. Any help would be appreciated. Any little bit of info would help complete part of out family history.

I have heard a lot of rumors that the Humphries building at the Job Corps Center was once an old crematorium, and also a sanitarium. Is this true?

BOGART, HOFFMAN posted by Kendra Hoffman on Saturday, July 15, 2006

Looking for any info on Henry HOFFMAN, from Nebraska, around 1913, who was treated for a leg infection by a Dr. BOGART (? spelling) and then died in Excelsior Springs. Henry HOFFMAN was treated at the Excelsior Springs Sanitarium for a leg wound that wouldn't heal as a complication from diabetes. He was there from February 3rd until February 21, 1913, when he died. The doctor who signed his death certificate was T.N. BOGART. Henry was from Battle Creek, Nebraska. I found the picture on your website of the Sanitarium, which will be a great addition to our family book. We'd appreciate any additional information on the Sanitarium or on Dr. BOGART, if there is any to be found!

His application is dated 1865. Jim is a former member of the JAMES outlaw gang. Do you have any information concerning him? Thank you for your assistance.
