Between 1894 and 1900, this two story brick Victorian commercial structure was built. The first floor has always served as two businesses with offices on the second floor. Some of the businesses located here that pertained to the mineral water context of Excelsior Springs included doctors' offices and a drug store.
By 1940, the building was known as the Owl Sandwich shop, later referred to as the Owl Cafe, and it remained in this location for decades. |
